With an MBA degree in luxury brand management and having received numerous green awards since Vegware was introduced in Hong Kong, Ceicy Wong, Managing Director of Vegware Hong Kong, is certain that sustainability is the new luxurious fashion: and that plant-based, plastic-free disposables bring solutions to reduce waste in the food sector.
Sustainability goals:
Vegware can simply be recycled together with food waste after use; which helps to significantly divert the carbon footprint of landfills. I.e. the recycled sugarcane used to make Vegware’s takeaway boxes has 99 percent less embodied carbon dioxide than polystyrene. Our goal is to grow composting regions including closing the loop through promoting compostable disposables.
